Trained at The Institute of Audio Research New York and AFTRS in Australia, Mark boomed for a number of acclaimed recordists on various productions including Wildside and The Matrix before getting the opportunity to work as Production Sound Mixer at Warner Bros Studios Qld for the Warner Bros series The Lost World.
From 2000 Mark recorded a number of Telemovies for Paramount at Warner Bros and 2nd Unit in Sydney for the Jerry Bruckheimer film Kangaroo Jack which led to working as the Production Sound Mixer for the Marvel Film Manthing and then being asked to finish main unit for Star Wars Revenge of the Sith.
He has gone on to work on over 60 Australian, US and international films and TV Dramas both here and throughout Asia the US and Fiji including recording dialogue in heavy traffic enviroments, monsoon rain, on sinking boats, and with large casts of up to 20 radio mics.
Mark has received 20 Sound Nominations winning 6 Awards across all areas of film and video production.
Outside of film his TV & Web Work includes jobs for – BBC, PBS, NBC, E Entertainment, History Channel, ZDF, 60 minutes, ABC and SBS programs, 9 Wide World of Sports, Sunday, Business Sunday, Qantas Inflight, Walsh Report, Good Morning Australia, Audio Director for Ch7 BHG 1995 – 2004 and freelance staff for Broadcom, Murdoch Magazines, Pacific Publications, and Cooks Coop a Web Cooking Show with some of Australias best chefs sponsored by Gerry Harvey.
His MVs and live show work includes, 12 years of Sydney Dance Co premiers to Bangarra Dance Company, Australian Ballet, Sydney Dreaming Festival to Bon Jovi live, INXS live and Heaven Sent MV, Vienna Boys Choir, Multiple Orchestra recordings including the ACO and World Orchestra at the Opera House as the Audio Director to recording the World Orchestra on a plane to Singapore, Nickleback Live, Wolfmother and the Jackass Crew for Jackass the Movie, Brittany Spears in Australia Ch9, Blink 182 MV with Joseph Khan, Jet with Chris Milk and the soundtrack clips for Strickly Ballroom and Romeo and Juliet with Baz Luhrmann and Dion Beebe.
