Well we are finally coming to the end of the mix for Scorched and I just wanted to let you know how hapy I am with the production sound you gave us.
We have had to do absolutely minimal ADR and I was stunned to discover that we could even use most of the dialogue that had wind machines and helicopters running through it – how did you do that!
I was thrilled that we didn’t have to do any ADR with Cameron Daddo, since he is Los Angeles based and it was going to be expensive.
In general, the ADR we did do was for creative purposes rather than technical purposes which is much more satisfying.
I had plans originally of going out and recording additional effects of fire engines, sirens, etc. but all the wild effects you gave us meant that we had more than enough to work with – I’m amazed you had the time on this schedule to get so much extra sound for us, and it works so well!
Again, thank you for making my work so much easier, it is a joy to work with your production sound and I can’t wait to do it again on Prime Mover!
